by Our HMO provider-MEDSERV is in financial turmoil at this time. All accredited hospitals and clinics nationwide have already suspended their services. Government agencies like Pag-ibig, NHA and others under MEDSERV are also affected.
In view of this problem, LBPEA called for a National Emergency Meeting of all the Officers including the Regional Governors and Vice-Governors. The meeting will be held on July 9-11, 2009 at the Diosdado Macapagal Hall of LandBank Plaza.
Let us all pray for an immediate resolution of our HMO problem.

The contract with Medserv was terminated effective August 1, 2009. Selection process for the new HMO provider is ongoing and will be finished on or before end of August. The new HMO contract is expected to commence on September if the selection process would go smoothly.

The National Executive Board recently appointed ALVIN D. ARRIZA as the New HMO Committee Chairman. He is also the National Treasurer of LBPEA. Competent, dynamic, quick-witted, workaholic and with proven integrity are only a few of Alvin’s aces on his sleeves making him capable to handle the HMO Committee at present and even LBPEA in the future.

INCREASE IN MEDICAL AND MEAL ALLOWANCES PROPOSED

A welcome news for every LandBanker...
An increase in annual medical allowance and meal allowance were proposed on the recently concluded meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee on Economic Proposals composed of LBPEA and LandBank Management Representatives.
The meeting was held on May 15, 2009. The proposals will be presented to the LandBank Board of Directors for approval....
